Conduct periodic preventative maintenance and diagnostic testing and transfer packets of all equipments associated with the Vertical Launching systems contract. Equipment including ballast cans, AURS(all up round simulators), submarine platforms (Virginia class,688,774,VPT) , Tilt fixtures, Missle tube extension loaders, lifting adapters, Hydraulic Pump unit, Mk101, MK 112 and VLS cradles and other misc equipment. Testing and diagnostics with Multimeter and Power source conducting resistance and continuity testing for inner electrical components within AURS. Systems overhauls if needed. Replacing electrical components using blueprint diagrams and attaching proper wire connection to proper terminals and crimp and lockdown. And then retesting after installing new components. Equipment preventative maintenance using hand tools die grinders, palm sanders, pneumatic and air tools to smoothen rusted surfaces on all equipment and then sand and tape and paint.Understands and execute step by step procedures for Loading/Offloading AURS,BALLAST CANS, 688,Virginia class 774 and Virginia Payload Tube(VPT) Platforms and many other non ordinance equipment onto corresponding Nuclear Submarines.Works with NAVFAC Crane team and Shipsforce crew to accomplish all loading and offloading mission tasks. The ability to operate industrial tools and forklifts up to 25k with no supervision. Ability to rigg lift and maneuver ballast cans and aurs with forklift using proper slings and proper positioning of adapter hook attachments as required in Navfac rigging standards.

Daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly maintenance, inspecting, testing of equipment, slings, and components in accordance with MRC, SOP and Tech Manuals.Familiarization with hand and power tools, as well as hazmat materials, is needed for maintenance on the equipment mentioned above.Testing MK101's and MK 112's to ensure devices are operating and functioning properly.
Installed, configured, tested, maintained and troubleshot electronic components, systems and equipment.Calibrated electronic devices and equipment to ensure precise operation. Successfully rigged a variety of loads and equipment, including cranes, hoists, winches, and derricks with precision and accuracy. Conduct transfers and basic pmcs on specific systems that support the Navy's mission. Works with VLS program that maintains and upkeeps submarine platforms; AuRs, Ballast cans. Longshoremen work includes loading offloading equipment(aurs, ballast cans and platforms) from on the pier to into submarines. Diagnosing and testing electrical components within Aurs by following Specific Instruction packets given by government. As well as painting, sanding, grinding any VLS equipment as needed using hand, air and power tools to complete the job. And other duties as required. Forklift operator experience up to 25k forklift.

Longshore duties, loading and offloading cargo ships of ammunition and various materials, and loading navy ships with live VLS missiles.
Performs storage, warehousing, stock control, receipt, issue/packing, inventory, and other warehousing functions as required for ammunition, ammunition components, pyrotechnics, bombs, guided missiles, depth charges, and non-ordnance supplies and materials.
May operate hand or power trucks in performing duties. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Works in bunkers/magazines storing various ammunition within each magazine, not to exceed a net explosive weight limit.
Constant lifting of ammunition Boxes of weighing up to 50 lbs. Separate small arms by type and identify Lot numbers for each type and separating onto metal or wood pallets.
Works as longshore men when the Navy or Cargo ships dock on our pier.
Spots and Guides forklift operators as they engage and disengage on any AAE(Arms, Ammunitions, Explosives). Works for prolong periods of hours in the hot sun while breaking down metal stacking frames, setting long weapons base assembly systems into place for crane to drop missiles.
Constant banding of arms, ammunitions, and explosives with a metal strap. Use of tools include Crimper, stretcher, cutters. Works with wood worker on cutting wood for our trailers. Building wooden dunnage on the trailers in order to transport missiles and projectiles. Involves reading diagrams and basic math skills to calculate perfect size dunnages. Abides by proper safety measures. Proper gear is worn at all times during an operation.

Operated cash POS system to check out customer items at register. Works at fast paced environment. Familiarize with store policies and store products to help better assist customers with their purchases. Ensure store efficiency and quality customer service.
