Intern
Last summer, I worked on the Distributed, Fragmented Software Design Meetings project, which examines how information is shared, captured, and retrieved during software development meetings. As part of this initiative, I helped develop Recap, a tool designed to enhance access to meeting data collected using Knocap, an existing meeting capture system.
My role involved refining Recap to improve usability by implementing intuitive sorting filters and tagging features, making it easier for users to browse and search meeting information. Building on existing user stories, I focused on prioritizing key functionalities while introducing new features to streamline the user experience. Along the way, I tackled challenges such as redundant data collection and feature overlap, which I addressed through careful design refinements.
Looking ahead, usability studies will evaluate how well Recap supports real-world tasks, guiding future improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of software development meetings.
