I received EKG training in Lake Charles, LA., at my first critical care job. Then at another 2 day class in Houston, Tx.
There were various classes at McKay Dee Hospital for training regarding different areas of Cardiac Care throughout the time that we were owned by the IHC group.
I received my certification from ASHRM, the professional organization for Medical Risk Managers, by attending three different sessions in Chicago, IL. Each session lasted 3 days.
There were always many various opportunities taken for in-service trainings at each facility for training on new products, procedures, etc. or updates on the field of critical care and the many areas that encompasses.
I was a member of ASHRM when I practiced Nursing. I no longer hold a Nursing license at this time.
