GABE PORTER

• Oversight of the Eagle Hatchery including but not limited to general care of captive and wild caught salmon, spawning salmon, taking measurements of captive salmon and pit tagging captive and wild salmon
• Trapped, transported, and released wild salmon throughout the Pacific Northwest
• Water quality management
• Assisted with operations of the Redfish Lake Hatchery
• Frequently worked with handheld tools, power tools, and large machinery, in maintenance and various projects within the hatchery.

• Worked in the Orchard Combat Training Center conducting surveys of local flora and fauna including working with endangered plants and venomous snakes using GIS and DIMA databases
• Assisted the Bureau of Land Management in capture and banding of local birds of prey
• Assisted in capture, identification, measuring, and releasing local bat species.

Work with the Survey Party Chief going to different construction projects to survey and stake the area based on designs created and given to us. I also take surveyed points and create basic drawings using AutoCAD showing property lines and utilities. These basic drawings are then given to designers and worked on more to create final plans for future projects
