• Greet arriving patients professionally and cheerfully, making sure all of their paperwork is filled out and ensuring each patient feels important
• Verify insurance, submit prescriptions and collect copays and deductible amounts
• Keep waiting room and front desk area clean and tidy at all times to create a welcoming environment
• Improved accuracy of patient demographic data by developing new questionnaire form for patients to fill out at each appointment

Verifying insurance coverage, submitting claims, obtaining pre-authorizations, and collecting payments (co-pays, deductibles) at the time of service. Proficient in open dental.

• Assisting dentists with procedures, providing suction, handing instruments, and preparing materials for restorative work.
• Creating a welcoming, non-threatening environment, using age-appropriate behavior guidance techniques and calming anxious children.
• Taking, developing, and mounting dental radiographs (X-rays), performing coronal polishing, and applying fluoride or sealants.
• Sterilization & Safety: Adhering strictly to infection control protocols, including sterilizing instruments and disinfecting treatment rooms between patients.
• Teaching children and parents proper brushing/flossing techniques and discussing preventive care, such as diet and dental health.
• Documenting patient charts, updating medical histories, and occasionally managing appointment scheduling or inventory.
