- Working for Formosa Plastics in Port Lavaca, Tx and Tesla Lithium in Robstown, Tx. I perform x-ray quality welds in all positions and all size pipes using SMAW and GTAW processes on super duplex stainless steel 2205/2507 and carbon steel from sch 10 to sch 160. I am sent to various locations/cities to perform and finish difficult welds as well as perform testing welds for State Stamp test in order for Udelhoven to obtain the licenses the states requires for biding on projects. I read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, weld symbols, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create or repair equipment. I design and build basic and or complex structures, supports, or framework in the execution of daily tasks. I assist pipe fitters prepping the pipes prior to welding using the bevel machine to bevel the pipe and clean the bevels. I cut various alloys using plasma cutter. I utilize handheld tools such as grinders, pencil grinder, two hole pins, square, torpedo level, tape measures, and other welding hand tools as needed to perform my daily assignments. I worked at Tesla Lithium Project in Robstown, Tx fabricating and welding supports for cable tray and fabricating 3/4 socket weld bypass. I observe and comply with all safety and project rules and perform other duties as required (Fitting, installing, bolting pipe & valves. Rigging and assisting other crafts as needed).
