Combat Medic (68 W)- JBLM, WA July 2018- June 2022
Enlisting in the army at 17 through the delayed entry program in started my training at my recruiting office meeting the physical requirements as well as learning the initial customs and courtesies of the army. Upon completion of high school, I was sent to Fort Jackson for basic training where I served as platoon leader and nominated as the honor man of my graduating class. From there I went to Fort Sam Houston, completing the expedited course work attaining my EMT license in two months and the title of combat medic in another two months. My permanent duty station was Fort Lewis Mcchord, where I gained hands on experience as a field medic for the 2nd Infantry 8-1 Cav Squadron. I served as the Senior medic for A- Troop as well as working for both the Okubo clinic and Madigian Army hospital.
