  • Insourced and transform existing back-office systems from Salesforce platform to custom in-house cloud-native application. Backoffice system is responsible for providing in-vehicle app store functionality to customer.
  • Following twelve-factor methodology, we transformed monolithic system into 8 separate business component microservices using Java & Spring Framework
  • Provide DevOps support & design enhanced solution for global deployment to all GM regions. (North America, South American, China, and Europe)
  • Design & Build from the ground up a cloud-native microservices using Spring Framework and Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)
  • Critical SLA for application response time due to direct customer interaction was exceeded with new application.
  • Cloud-based deployment provides additional resiliency, redundancy, and scalable platform for vital application.
  • Travel to China to meet with GM Join Venture partners to discuss, plan, and train teams for deployment of new back-office system into China.

  • Collaborated with multiple teams daily to build out multiple application environments. Datacenter migration of four (VENUS, DOMS, SPDS, COC) business-critical & vital applications from South Korea D.C. to GM Enterprise Data Center (EDC).
  • Engaged Telecom, Firewall, networking, and external Korean vendor to establish IPSec Tunnel linking GM EDC to Korea Vendor. Providing cost-saving by removing need for expensive MPLS connection to external vendor. Additional enhancements gained from migration was increased information security with encrypted transmission of data, and automatic fail-over of IPSec tunnel between two data centers in case of disaster.
  • Lead setup of Business Continuity (BC) environment in an alternate data center for all four applications.
  • Progressing applications toward standardization, modernization, and security enhancements.
    + Performing conversion of 100+ Oracle ProC batch jobs to Java
    + Performing a character set conversion of Database from ofUS7ASCII to UTF8
  • Supporting application ownership tasks as laid out by GM leadership for VENUS & DOMS
  • Analyze dependencies & connections to applications running in the Korea Remote Hosting Center needed by GM international infrastructure team for planning and BC support.

  • Built strong professional relationships with Holden business team. Traveled to Australia to meet face to face with Holden business partners, dealers, and GM reps. On-site and Telepresence meetings to ensure quality, value, and expectations of business enhancement deliveries.
  • Cultivate and develop a strong working knowledge of Holden business processes, sales models, order management. Helping to ensure deliverables provide the greatest benefits for our business.
  • Performed a complex data center migration of three (SOMOWB, GVSOM, GVCT) business-critical & vital applications from HP D.C. to GM enterprise data center (EDC). As part of this migration, all three applications were moved simultaneously. The migration was successfully completed on the first attempt and Holden business was thrilled by the quality of the migration.
    + The application migrated comprised of a J2EE( struts & JSP) front-end application(SOMOWB), an Oracle SOA back-end application(GVSOM), and a SOA & Applet based application (GVCT)
    + Oracle SOA microservices back-end comprised of over 400 running SOA microservices spread across three individual domains
  • Dramatically reduced the number of incidents (Business & Internal) for these apps with significant enhancements to application processing, environmental enhancements, and business process training. Prior to the completion of these enhancements, the app was a top 10 ticket producer in 2013 & 2014.
