Engineering Award - Pittsburgh Geological Society, April 2023, Senior Capstone Project: Identification of Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) in the Monongahela River, For this senior project, I used GIS to search the Monongahela River for AMD patches. Once they were identified, I used a downstream trace and created a watershed. Over the 75-mile stretch from Northern West Virginia to Pittsburgh, 22 potential AMD traces were discovered.
