Penguin Random House is a book distributing warehouse located in Westminster, MD. As a former high school student, I worked part time on the weekends as Warehouse Associate, where I would package and send out deliveries for the company. As a current college student, I work monthly on the weekends and during holiday breaks.
Carroll Concert Band is an ensemble comprised of music educators, performers, and students from Carroll County, MD. Annually during March, the ensemble meets up and performs a concert to raise money for music education in Carroll County. The money is used to provide funding for school music programs as well as music scholarships for summer music camps. The ensemble performs a mix between wind band classics, and popular music. Most recently, we performed Johan De Meji's, T-Bone Concerto, with trombonist Carmen Russo of the United States Army Field Band.
Andrew Spang is a professional tuba/ bass trombonist, holding degrees from the Eastman School of Music, and Boston Conservatory. Weekly, I spent Wednesday afternoons taking hourly lessons with Mr. Spang. Through our lessons, we worked through challenging solo repertoire as well as preparing for auditions.
Ellicott City Band Camp, is a two week music performance program consisting of around 100 students grades 5-8. As a trombone counselor, I worked along side Howard County music educators to provide sectionals and perform along side student musicians. The camp is a volunteer opportunity that i have partook over the summers of 2023 & 2024.
The Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestras is a non-profit organization, providing around 250 students the opportunity to perform in an orchestral ensemble. Meeting Sunday afternoons from 2-5pm, each season meets from September-May of the school year. Within 3 seasons, i performed over 15 performances including standard orchestra concerts, chamber music, and side by sides with members of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. I even had the chance to participate on a two week tour to Europe, exploring and performing 5 concerts in 4 countries including Italy, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic.
The Maryland Music Educators Association's All State Ensembles consist of 9 performance groups comprising over 800 talented student musicians from grades 7-12. During my freshmen year, i was placed into the All State Junior Band, where i played Principal Trombone. The rest of my high school career i performed in the All State Senior Band, where i worked under nationally acclaimed conductors such as T'Andre Feagin, Travis Cross, and Colonel Jason Fettig.
For five years, I participated in the Carroll County All County Middle & High School Band. I performed as Principal Trombone and worked with acclaimed music educators from the Mid-Atlantic region.
The All American D-DAY Band is a performing ensemble consisting of 80 students from across the United States. The ensemble meets in Washington DC, where they rehearse with members of the US Army Field Band, and perform a concert at the World War II Memorial. The ensemble then tours Normandy and Paris, performing the ceremony music for the various D-DAY festivals and events. I performed in the 2023 season where i worked under retired Colonel Timothy Holton, former director of the US Army Band.
The Encore Community Camp, is a week summer program providing around 60 student musicians grades 5-10 ensembles, music classes, and fun activities. As a Student Assistant Personal (SAP), I worked along side music educators of Carroll & Howard county, to provide assistance in activities and sectional work with students.
Awarded 2nd Alternate in the 2025 American Trombone Workshop's National Tenor Trombone, Division I (under 18) Competition.
