I returned to work for Reimers and Jolivette when Schommer and sons became slow ing 2016. Since I returned there I worked on a very wide range of projects. One project I worked on was the Waverly Country club remodel. This project included extensive exterior framing and finish work, including a large custom pergola structure. Since then, I worked on several other projects, including a very extensive structural replacement at Reed college and working as a lead Carpenter for a seismic upgrade project.
I started working for AC Schommer & Sons when Reimers became slow in 2015. While employed there, I worked on a wide range of projects. One of the projects i worked on was the Domaine Serene clubhouse project, a building designed to last 200 years. I was on the wall crew for the duration of the foundation construction. Here I became accustomed with concrete form systems, we were using the Aisina system. I also installed the exterior finish on the auxiliary building. About halfway through the year I finished my apprenticeship. I also worked as a lead Carpenter for a smaller T.I. job, working with apprentices on concrete, framing and finsh work.
I started at Reimers and Jolivette as an apprentice in 2012, but had worked for them as a utility, demolition worker for a year prior to that. I spent the majority of my apprenticeship there and worked on all scopes of our trade in that time. While working there, I worked on framing two elevator shafts into existing buildings, along with many other wood framing projects. In addition to framing, I also cut and installed custom trim work. I also worked on many different smaller concrete projects, setting forms, pouring and finishing.
