Transportation of fuel throughout Tucson and outlining areas, including Safford, Morenci and Nogales Az. Safely transport fuel to gas stations, airports, and outlining mines in the area. Required to maintain CDL license and all MSHA and pit driving requirements on an annual basis.
Through a class 7 and 8 conductor licenses responsible for building trains safely and efficiently. Trained to work with another conductor understanding how to appropriately read and understand train line ups in order to build each train. Understanding how to operate and build up the air brake system on each locomotive. Work with multiple teams and dispatch throughout each shift making the work environment as safe and efficient as possible.
Extensive understanding of all railroad rules and regulations especially with on the road signals and haz mat cargo. Fully coupling all cargo cars with brake hoses and making sure to tie enough brakes with each train so that the Tucson yard is safe from rolling cargo. On road activities include reading and understanding appropriate signals and untying any brakes to avoid hot wheels or derailment.
