Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care/ Pediatric Intensive Care | 1:1–1:2 Ratios | High Acuity

• Manage post-operative congenital heart patients (TOF, HLHS, TGA, VSD, ASD).
• Titrate vasoactive infusions: epinephrine, norepinephrine, dopamine, vasopressin.
• Care for patients receiving mechanical ventilation and non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC).
• Monitor arterial lines, central lines, CVP, chest tubes, pacing wires, UVC/UAC, EVD.
• Assist in bedside procedures (intubations, line placements, chest tubes, lumbar puncture).
• Participate in rapid response and code blue events.
• Provide family-centered education in critical care environments.
• Collaborate with cardiology, CT surgery, RT, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Assisted in patient assessments and triage processes within high-pressure emergency environment.
• Operated diagnostic equipment, ensuring accurate results for treatment decisions.
• Collaborated with multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.

• 10-week externship, working one-on-one with a RN Mentor, as well as time with fellow externs in a workshop setting.
