  • Provide care for all animals, husbandry, run all diagnostic test required per case, sedate and recover any animal undergoing a surgical procedure.

  • Get proper medical history to report back to the doctor in order to properly treat patients. As well as finalizing and reviewing all doctor notes to ensure all medical records and true, accurate and complete.
  • Administer injections, place IV catheters, intubate patients, clip and clean infected areas, splint changes, urinary catheters, assist in draining abdomens and any surgical procedure the doctor may ask for assistance in.
  • Clean and wrap all medical instruments. Knowledge on what instruments are used in what procedure.
  • Handling life or death emergencies efficiently and thoroughly. Remaining calm to ensure the patient gets urgent care properly.
  • Handling fractitious animals properly. When to see the difference in nervous versus aggressive.
  • Educate all clients on preventable diseases, making sure they are not leaving the clinic without knowing how to protect their pets.
  • Creating estimates for procedures and going over them in detail with client's so they are comfortable and aware of what will be done with their pet and what they are paying for.
  • Comfort clients during hard or stressful times with their pets.
  • Fill medications and properly discharge patients with thorough instructions on medications being sent home or patient care post surgery or procedure.
  • Customer service when answering the phone or greeting clients in each exam room. Creating a safe space for my clients to build trust in me handling their pets.
  • Properly clean areas after each exam to prevent spreading illness. Handling all contagious animals with proper PPE.
