Results-driven cashier with nearly 3 years of experience in customer service. Proven track record of achieving success through strategic thinking and effective collaboration. Adept at creative-thinking and teamwork, I have consistently delivered impactful results throughout my time as a long-term substitute teacher (constructing my own curriculum and working alongside tight/changing deadlines). Known for my positive-energy and personality, I bring a strong commitment to excellence and a proven ability to drive positive outcomes in dynamic environments.
I am incredibly grateful for my time spent at the New School. Not only did I enjoy this job to the fullest with my healthy work environment, but I was gifted with the opportunity to finally work in a creative environment. I gained more skills than I'd expected as the college classes don't teach you the depths of student-teacher emotional/mental bonds. I learned how to communicate with my students through diverse problem-solving techniques. Time off the clock was also spent preparing for my classroom the following day, as well as getting familiar with programs such as Powerpoint, Excel, Canva, etc. There was constant interaction with parents via email, virtual/in-person meetings, and written reports performed either daily and/or on report cards. It was a demanding job, hard work was the only answer to perform correctly. Despite any stress or obstacles along the way, this job was incredibly rewarding for my experience in the classroom, as well as understanding the multitude of human perceptions in everyday life (whether from the view of a child or adult).

My position as a Camp Counselor at Camp War Eagle included working with children, K-12, every day. I protected them, made sure they remained safe and healthy throughout their stay at the camp and even slept in the cabin with my assigned children. However, I also was allowed to teach children of all ages life skills and simple crafts through teaching in the camp's Craft Center. It was an experience that motivated me to find a career that relied heavily on independence, leadership, and creativity.
Skills Acquired:
Skills I have learned through my experience as a Courtesy Clerk include: Establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals or helping with problems these customers may encounter, providing customer service by greeting/assisting/responding to customer inquiries and challenges, enforcing safety/health/security rules, and implementing policies, goals, objectives, and procedures for the store's departments. Skills I have learned through my experience as a Cashier include: How to properly count and handle money in the workplace, how to react in situations that may require immediate recognition and reaction, how to spot fake cash dollars, and the importance of teamwork inside/outside of work.

Cosmetology License;

As a person, my character relies heavily on creative expression. Throughout my time in high school, I excelled in my art classes and challenged myself with new mediums. From there, art became a part of my daily routine. I found friends with similar interests, my part-time jobs helped pay for craft supplies, and I found a sense of pride in my work after some time. Those years that challenged my creative skillset were also able to introduce me to similar creative-thinking outlets; Dungeons and Dragons may not be as prevalent in my life as the more usual drawing, however, these games consisted of the same construct that challenged my drive for expression and individuality. I found crochet recently in these past few years and similarly, I found more joy than expected in learning patterns and fixing my mistakes.
These skills are humorous to me as I feel that, as a person, I literally cannot stop moving my hands. I need to be creating and crafting, and that is, therefore, how I spend the majority of my free time. Of course, always with a horror movie on in the background.
