My role as a PCU/Medical Surgical Float includes playing a vital role in managing patient's who are transitioning from the ICU and still require vigilant monitoring and advanced care. Most of these patient's present with extremely complicated conditions. On the medical/surgical floor, my role includes taking care of patent's with varying medical conditions and surgical procedures.
During my role as a travel nurse I gained experience from multiple different facilities. My travel contracts included St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Brighton, MA where I had the opportunity to work as a medical surgical/telemetry and step down nurse catering to mostly cardiovascular patient's. My next contracts were Falmouth Hospital in Cape Cod, St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, Tobey Hospital in Wareham, and South County Hospital in Wakefield. Each of these contracts I worked as a medical surgical/telemetry float gaining a multitude of knowledge regarding different patient populations and specialties.
Highly skilled in the progressive care and treatment of medical-surgical and trauma patients, in addition to to a wide variety of other patient diagnoses and comorbidities. Appointed as a Charge Nurse, a loyal team member who transitioned into this RN role after 3+ years of working as a CNA on this unit, allowing me the humble experience of working within multiple scopes of nursing and delivering the highest quality of patient-centered care and team collaboration.
