Accomplishments

  • Lead the collaboration with a team of parents, teachers, students from Ridgeland High School and Madison County community leaders in the development of the Ridgeland High School Garden.
  • Commended by Keep Ridgeland Beautiful for exemplary teaching and service to students through the implementation of hands on STEM curriculum developed in conjunction with the Ridgeland High School Garden.
  • Supervised team of approximately 60 high school and 30 middle and elementary school science teachers throughout the state of MS in the implementation of Project MAST (MS Academy for Science Teachers).
  • Achieved funding in the amount of $8.9 million for the editing of the National Science Foundation grant and approximately $3.2 million through editing and subsequent funding of the MDE (MS Department of Education) grant for Common Core in Mathematics while serving as Program Coordinator for Jackson State University.
