My passion for healthcare started in High School where I was a teacher's aide for special needs children. Soon after graduation I worked in a group home setting for special needs adults and children for 3 years. I then got a CNA certification and worked in assisted living memory care for about 6 months until I got a job at the local hospital, Kootenai Medical Center (now Kootenai Health), where I worked as a CNA for the Ortho/ Neuro unit for 5 years. I realized that my real passion is Emergency care and transferred to the Emergency Department where I started as a CNA for just over 2 years and then became a CHUC in the ED and had the chance to work with some amazing doctors. In 2022 I transferred to Kootenai Clinic Neurosurgery and Spine as an OSC/ referrals coordinator and now work as an OSC at the front desk.
Emergency care is my true passion and I would love to get back into it with some of those amazing doctor's I worked with before, who are involved in your new Emergency hospital.
