Summary

As a crew member, I specialize in all positions, which include engaging in customer service, interacting with the public, kitchen duties, general maintenance, improvement of the work environment, and managing money. In all aspects of my work, I am expected to multi-task at all times, sometimes with more than 3-4 subjects/actions at once. This has developed my skills of working under pressure and quick memorization, with efficient and quick thinking. This is all done passively while developing a well-built character towards employees and customers to satisfy both internally and externally in my work.

Work History

Theater Actor

Poly-Employment
Glendora, CA
08.2024 - Current

First acting experience was Glendora High School's The Addams Family Musical; double cast as a Conquistador Ancestor (ensemble) and Mal Beineke.

Recent roles then include:

* Death (Antagonist) - The Price

* Juror 12 (Side) - 12 Angry Jurors

*Frankenstein (Lead) - Frankenstein

Rehearsals (Glendora High Performances) where every Monday - Friday and last from 3-7 pm, along with also taking time to assist in the creation of the set (each Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm).

For Citrus College rehearsals (Frankenstein), they went from Monday - Thursday (including some Saturdays) from 2:30pm - 12pm. Frankenstein spanning more time due to individual personal scene work, along with makeup application.

From rehearsals and performances, I have established an enhanced patience, willingness to collaborate, and opportunity to lead. Within a professional setting, I learned how to work better with students and directors and to challenge them to bring out their best for an incredible experience.

Peer Leader

St. Dorothy's Church
Glendora, CA
09.2021 - Current
  • Since beginning my high school career, I have dedicated many hours to service within the church.
  • In 2021, I was a part of the confirmation program, and within that program, I was able to take up many different opportunities, like making clothes/food drives.
  • Through this added commitment, when confirmation ended for me, I was personally asked to revive a Peer Leadership Team previously separated due to COVID-19.
  • Being one out of the 6 new generation members, I was expected to attend meetings every Sunday at 3pm to play certain events for teens until the beginning of mass at 5pm, and from there we would start these events at 6pm which carry on until 8:30 pm.
  • Within these events, we serve out food, organize games and social groups, and ensure collaboration and faith is enhanced within the teens.
  • I have had the opportunities to lead these events as a host or coordinator to ensure the night is planned accordingly and executed to satisfy the teens attending the event.
  • We have previously expanded our abilities past these usual events and have taken opportunities to serve in events like City of Saints and St. Dorothy's Vacation Bible School to evangelize to various age groups.
  • When I turned 18, I was given the opportunity to join the Core Team of Youth Ministry to work on more in-depth objectives to keep all connected programs running.

Sunday School Catechist / Teacher

St. Dorothy's Catholic School
Glendora, CA
09.2022 - 08.2024
  • St. Dorothy's School offers classes to prepare students for first communion, and as a catechist, I am one of their teachers.
  • Since 2022, I have done classes for Preparation 1 and Preparation 2, which is a range of 5-7-year-old students.
  • I have co-taught with another teacher with effective chemistry, merging our teaching styles to create an interactive and efficient learning experience.
  • In these classes, we educated on essential prayers, saints, events in the bible, the liturgical calendar, and the important individuals presented in the bible.
  • This is all in preparation for their first communion and their continued dedication to the sacraments.

Lead Coordinator/Leader

St. Dorothy's Vacation Bible School
Glendora, CA
07.2022 - 07.2024
  • Vacation Bible School is a summer camp within my church community that is offered from Pre-Kindergarten to 7th graders and is filled with entertainment and education for the kids.
  • For my first 2 years, my role was a leader for Games and 5th Graders.
  • For the 5th Graders position, certain stations take over so that teachers could take breaks like Imagination Station or Arts and Crafts.
  • In Games it was an all-day position where we would go through all the kids to play the specific game for the day.
  • In my previous year, I was given the opportunity to become a Lead Coordinator for the event, which included preparation before, in between, and after the event.
  • Before the event, I was instructed to analyze the traits of each volunteer to decide their position within the event, along with helping design and build the atmosphere for the week.
  • As a weekly event, it began at 8 am for us in preparation for the kids arriving at 9, in which we would complete the events for the day and then have a meeting until 2 pm.
  • This leads to 63 hours per event each year.
  • After the camp had passed, we cleaned up the environment created for the event and recorded all data in preparation for next year's event.
  • With the possible absence of the main bosses for the event in the next years, I am expected to take their place as one of them to run next year's VBS, considering I am of applicable age.

St. Dorothy's Confirmation Program
Glendora, CA

  • The camp was at Big Bear, and it was a 3-day trip to the mountain.
  • It consisted of masses, social activities, confession, and prayer sessions with live music.
