I was responsible for making sure everything was up to MSHA standards. Cleaning catwalks on the cone an VSI crusher, daily lubrication on all the belts head pulleys a tail pulleys, making sure screens were clean. Then operating skid steer around the crusher cleaning up all the drop points off belts then feeding the actual crusher in the loader. When the crusher would break down the foreman and I would do all the repairs ourselves from changing belts/screens to anything that broke down
Executed efficient use of sheep’s foot roller to achieve optimal spec compaction. And running loader when needed.
I ran the screed on the paving crew. I was responsible for daily setup on the paver and during actual paving my job was to make sure the road was smooth as possible maintaining the right depth so we didn’t go over on our material and I ran loader at the crusher I was in charge of doing daily equipment inspections and taking care of all the stock piles and loading trucks
I started as a laborer on the paving crew I would rake and shovel asphalt and do all the repairs needed while paving. Then I went to the screed. My job was to maintain the right depth of asphalt on every job making sure we didn’t go over on what the job was bid for during the winter I did repairs on the paver and other equipment we had on the paving crew and running haul truck doing stock piling.
I was in charge of daily equipment inspections, making sure the trucks were supplied with everything we needed to build power lines. I climbed all lengths of poles to do work at the top of them and operated bucket trucks an crane trucks to set power poles.
I did asphalt maintenance like seal coating asphalt, painting out parking lots, crack sealing driveways and parking lots.
