The Executive Director will provide overall leadership and management for the organization. This role requires a steady hand to oversee day-to-day operations while empowering divisions to excel in their respective areas. The Executive Director will ensure high-functioning operations while maintaining excellent relationships, and drive the organization’s strategic goals.

Overall Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with J-1 regulations and maintain designations.

  • Maintain awareness of the entire organization, allowing departments to operate independently while staying informed and ready to step in when necessary.
  • Manage and motivate teams across various departments, including, compliance, recruitment, travel, and placements.
  • Developed strong cross-training for improved collaboration and project success.
  • Created a culture of accountability by setting clear performance expectations and monitoring progress regularly.
  • Serve as a decision-maker, working closely with the President of ICES to enhance current programs and develop new initiatives. Promote the organization externally and build relationships/networks within cultural exchange.
  • Drive organizational development, including strategic planning, and policy compliance.
  • Act as spokesperson for the organization, managing responses to critical situations and acting in the best interest of participants, the programs, and the organization. Must be able to navigating regulatory compliance and establish/maintain strong ethical practices.

Day-to-Day

  • Issue Ds2019 forms to students for visa appointments
  • Review and approve adverse background reports.
  • Work with student services counselors on escalated student/host family cases.
  • Oversee all student travel domestic and international.
  • Manage student extension for the high school program.
  • Manage (egov.ice.gov) portal for students arriving and departing the program. Also for students being dismissed or withdrawing from the program
  • Oversee student arrival flights and issuance of health insurance.
  • Manage the logistics for the company's annual training conference and yearly incentive trip
