As a Software Engineer in web development, you will work closely with the development managers, architects, DevOps engineers, and other top-notch professionals to design and implement our next generation SaaS platform. Leveraging your expertise, communication skills, and dedication to excellence in development, you will shape the supply chain software that is helping people solve complex problems through better decision making. 
  
This software engineer will be working in an agile environment using established best practices for cloud platform development and is expected to bring extensive Saas development experience. This person will have demonstrated ability to deliver high quality cloud platform solutions with a passion for learning new things and inspiring fellow engineers. 
  
Job Description:

* A software engineer working on a new and cutting-edge SaaS platform
* Work across all areas of a microservice architecture
* Be a subject matter expert for other developers from other teams who need to consume platform resources
* Take ownership of the quality of code produced through automated testing and monitoring code metrics
* Ensure on-going performance, load, and stress testing.
* Lead design and code reviews
* Drive the delivery and deployment of platform services and applications
* Take abstract (often vague) goals and work across multiple domains and teams to independently fulfill all functional and non-functional requirements
* Research, evaluate, and implement whatever technologies are necessary to deliver a solution
* Have vision across the organization understanding how the various technical initiatives fit together to provide customer value
  
The Qualifications:

* 10+ years of web application development experience
* Experience building multi-tenant, highly scalable, massively distributed web applications
* Strong technical leadership skills offering mentorship to team members 
* Proven track record of delivering in a continuously deployed, reliable, scalable and well-monitored microservice architecture
* Strong experience with unit/integration testing
* Advanced problem-solving, debugging and profiling skills
* Demonstrated ability to advocate for and enforce best practices
* Extensive knowledge of REST and web principles
* Advanced knowledge of object-oriented design patterns, data structures and development methodologies
* Experience developing for a cloud platform (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.)
  
Desired Knowledge, Experience and Skills

* Proficient C#/.NET chops, rock solid OO design skills and experience in developing well tested, high quality, easy to consume APIs and libraries
* Background in microservice development with "design to scale" mentality
* Developing single page applications with an eye for good UI/UX
* Knows how to effectively refactor old code to use new systems and services
* OpenID Connect and OAuth 2.0 protocols, identity federation, single sign in, single sign out, session management
* Git (especially GitHub enterprise) + understanding of GitFlow
* Whiz in at least one of the following: RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch and SQL Server
* Load testing
