Hi, I’m

G. Andre Shack

G. Andre Shack

Summary

Okay so I know there's no such thing as a professional CNA. But I have been in Health Care profession for going off 23 years. I have been a CMA CNA staffing coordinator, a conflict negotiator housekeeping maintenance also IT, anything with electronics and being able to just about handle most situations. I have been in various codes with different types of lvns RNs assisting them with things that they need. Also I handle death care with respect and privacy. Try and make sure I handle resident with the care and spiritually specially when performing their final grooming and/or bathing.⁰

So in conclusion I try my best to make sure that I am focused on my task at hand making sure no matter the facility and or hospital that work at. I try and gather as much information about the facility and staff as possible to ensure patient care and patient safety is priority.

I make sure I know who I'm my supervisors are and if there are fellow CNAs on the floor with me, I will try my best to be genuine and nice answer call lights and assist to if I am needed. But we can always have a come to Jesus meeting if there are issues or problems that must be discussed. Usually talking with cooler heads can solve a situation before it gets out of hand.

I hope you the best at deciding if I am good enough to join your team.

Also as a final note, I go by Andre which is my Legal middle name. If at all possible if you could please address me as Andre Shack. You don't even have to put Mr. in front as long as you don't call me by my first name🤣😁

With Best Regards,

G. Andre Shack

  • Assisted patients in ambulation and transfers using proper body mechanics.
  • Performed vital sign assessments, such as taking blood pressure and temperature.

  • Reporting on time for each shift picked up or asked or called in.
  • Generally getting a report from off going nurse aide at some facilities some facilities that I had to get report from the charge nurse just depending on how much that was available for that day.
  • Another biggest difference from having a stationary or permanent nursing facility is that I have to be very good at communicating especially with elderly residents who were unfamiliar with me or in certain cases they were female resident that may not want a male CNA to assist them. But I Emma pretty good talker I was born with the Gift of Gab and usually if I come and talk with said female Residents, I usually try and strike up a conversation with residents, or find out something that they are interested in, to try and have them be comfortable and at ease and assure them that I will give them the utmost privacy and respect for the need to ask that the allow me to assist with and they usually allow me to assist.
  • But as always I always give them the option if they prefer a female will do my best to get them a female employee to assist them
