  • Company temporarily} I started the company back up again and began to build and or remodeled again for approximately 2 years in my home town in South West Georgia
  • I addition I had negotiated an exclusive three county contract with a nationwide exterminator for reconstruction of all termite damage to the homes of their clients
  • This is area of Georgia is strictly a farming community for a hundred miles around and I discovered it was impossible to find well rounded employees to handle the volume
  • It became apparent that without the help to produce the volume, I wouldn’t be able to predictably sustain profits
  • I determined to close the company and take the offer from Fairway Construction in 2011.

  • I was hired as a project superintendent over two communities
  • One was an eight building condo project in Norcross Georgia, approximately 112 planed units
  • The other community was tear-downs in older neighborhoods and reconstruct high end single family homes in Decatur Georgia.
  • The company had a small success initially in sales of around 30 units while I was there
  • Their creditors began to be cut them off after approximately a year
  • Toward the end, one of the owners was investigated by the FBI for embezzling funds back to Iran
  • I took the first opportunity that became available at Fidelis Homes.

  • Worked directly with the developers of SERENBE, a 900-acre planned “sustainable community” of mixed- use design
  • As one of the two project managers I directed the construction of town homes with multi use / commercial below and single family dwelling above
  • There were 14 presales of detached single family before the project broke ground
  • Responsible for the entire scope of projects, profitability, contractor negotiation, vendor selection and pricing, value engineering, etc
  • Approved invoicing of all vendors, and securing the building permits, Certificate of Occupancy, and warranty work for 1 year
  • Meeting with owners or prospects for the purpose of pricing and acceptance of contract or offer, change orders, design modifications and addendums to contracts
  • Constructed both private residences of the owners/developers of SERENBE
  • Hedgewood began to have monetary / inventory issues and began to cut back positions, then shortly filed for chapter 11
