I am currently working as a fleet manager with Bruce Oakley Trucking. I have managed anywhere from 50-60 drivers at a time. I maintain FMCSA standards for each driver and keep their regulations up to date.

I also manage customer freight and foster new customers in our freight lanes. I quote freight at a profitable and realistic price point for customers that ensures their freight is moved when they need it and with quality customer service. Creating new profitable lanes for not only my drivers but our whole division is what I enjoy most. And keeping our customers happy and coming back.

I also am in charge of my driver's payroll. I control how they are paid and make sure each settlement is correct. Our owner operators take their settlements seriously, as they should, so I meticulously make sure each one is correct and fair.

I also maintain profits everyday through our databases. Using excel I can accurately post profits my drivers made each day and week. I am also in charge of tracking down paperwork for billing, and making sure our customers are paying on time before continued business.

• I have acquired many skills from this experience and worked in various labor intensive positions throughout the warehouse. I work all week nights and eventually worked my way up to sorting packages by state to there respective trailers. With this I have made updated sort sheets in Microsoft Word for the postal docks in the warehouse for sorters to reference. I also operated heavy package machinery throughout the building.

• I worked as a Papa John's delivery driver for the remainder of the summer until the start of my fall semester. This was a good learning experience in communicating with everyday people. I answered phones and kept track of money transactions throughout the day.

• Class B CDL driver. I worked every summer from June to August full time. I drove a two ton auger truck delivering thousands of pounds of fertilizer to airfields. I learned to drive stick shift and operate heavy trucks on the road daily and also helped maintain the work yard and clean vehicles.
