Served on the Violent Crimes Task Force.
Serving in the Criminal Investigations Division.
Assigned as a 'property' detective 2015 (including the investigation of fraud related crimes).
Assigned as a 'persons' detective 2016 (including the investigation of accidental death).
Assigned as a 'homicide' detective 2018 (investigation of accidental death, suicide, medical events and homicide / murder).
2002 was transferred to the Gang Unit. Since 2002, has investigated numerous criminal street gang related cases.
Was a member of the Multi Agency Gang Task Force (M.A.G.T.F.) in the Tampa Bay area.
Certified as a 'Gang Specialist' in both Florida and Virginia.
In 2006 and 2011, the Florida Gang Investigators Association (F.G.I.A.) awarded the Manatee County Sheriff's Office Gang Suppression Unit, (of which I was a part), the 'Gang Unit of the Year' award.
In 2008, was the Florida Gang Investigators Association (F.G.I.A.) award recipient for the 'Gang Investigator of the Year'.
In 2008, was awarded the Attorney General’s award for 'Excellence in Law Enforcement' by Bill McCollum.
Has worked across the state on several high profile gang cases. I have been the lead case agent three times on gang R.I.C.O. cases and aided in other similar investigations as well to include R.I.C.O. cases against criminal street gangs such as the Brown Pride Locos, East Side Crips, MS-13, Sur 13, 45th Street gang, Grand Park gang, Third Shift and Felony Lane Gang.
Has been cross sworn with the D.E.A. and F.B.I. on two federal Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces cases (O.C.D.E.T.F.).
In 2009 was cross sworn as a Customs Officer with full credentials from the Department of Homeland Security (I.C.E.) until the program was cancelled in 2013 (Title 19 – 'Blue Lightning').
Trainer: Blu3 line Consultants, All Is One International LLC, Security Management International, Critical Response Solutions & Blue Star Consultants.
Trainer and paid consultant on long-term cases and prosecutions.
Has taught law enforcement about gangs and long term investigations for the last 12 years nationwide.
Has testified as a gang expert in court on 5 separate occasions and consulted on several others.
Was a Hostage Negotiator for the SWAT Team for 15 years.
Was a member of the Emergency Services Team for 15 years.
Was an instructor for the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office Explorer program for 6 years.
Worked as part of the Security Detail provided at the Republican National Convention in Tampa 2012.
Instructor for Security Management International – In June and November 2019, taught the Saudi Military (Land Forces) in Ta’if Saudi Arabia on several topics (Driving, Medical / First Aid, Shooting Glock 19 & AK-47, Dignitary Protection and assisted in teaching Counter Terrorism).
Lead Case Investigator and Coordinator for Operation: Door Knock.
