Throughout my experiences, I’ve built a strong foundation in customer service, sales, and communication, particularly in my work with R&L Roofing and Remodeling, where I developed skills in client engagement and service promotion. As a bouncer, I learned to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism, ensuring the safety of both guests and staff. My hands-on experience with high-end vehicles, big trucks, and automotive garage work has helped me cultivate a deep understanding of car mechanics and how they operate. Ultimately, my goal is to combine my passion for cars with my skills to build a successful career in the automotive industry, where I can continue to learn and contribute to a field I love.
As a bouncer at Goose Acer, my main responsibility was maintaining a safe and secure environment for all guests and staff. I checked IDs, monitored the crowd, and handled any potential conflicts or issues with professionalism and composure. I stayed alert and approachable, ensuring everyone followed the venue’s rules while creating a welcoming atmosphere. My focus was always on safety, quick problem-solving, and providing a positive experience for everyone. I was freshly coming into 19 years of age when I took the position. After handling altercations and sustaining an injury, the decision was made to let me go to prevent further risk to my safety.
As a crew member at Take 5 Oil Change, I handled quick and efficient oil changes while focusing on great customer service. My responsibilities included checking and topping off fluids, replacing oil and filters, and inspecting key vehicle components. I made sure to communicate with customers about their car’s needs in a clear and friendly way. Working in a fast-paced environment, I stayed focused on safety, teamwork, and delivering quality service every time. I had to leave the position earlier than planned to relocate and assist an elderly family member.
As a Front-End Associate at Walmart, I stocked shelves, helped customers find products, and provided assistance with general inquiries. My role required strong communication and a focus on delivering great customer service. I left the position after graduating high school and relocating.
I began working with R&L Roofing and Remodeling the summer before my junior year in high school. In this role, I proactively engaged with potential clients by knocking on doors, discussing the services we provided, and effectively promoting my family/friend’s dad’s company. I also contributed to demo projects by preparing work areas for remodeling and ensuring job sites were cleaned and organized upon completion. This hands-on experience allowed me to build strong relationships with clients while enhancing my skills in communication, negotiation, and customer service.
