• In my tenure there I started as an instrument man and eventually was able to take out crews limitedly as a party chief. I expanded my overall knowledge in surveying by learning and executing TXDOT highway projects as well as City of San Antonio street projects. I also learned to use Leica 3d digital scanner (bridges).

Training and developing new talent on new equipment was a task I enjoyed. Here I learned how to maximize effort, stay budget efficient and how to be a better communicator and leader.

As Party Chief I led either a 2-3 man crew on various survey tasks including Boundary/ROW surveys, 2d-3d Planimetrics, SUE/Utility mapping, terrestrial scanning and much more. Also, I worked independently on many Transmission Line and Substation surveys.

• I primarily learned the TxDot code of conduct and safety protocol. I was able to execute a vast majority of the tasks including setting mobile lidar panels/control, running digital levels, fulfilling 3d digital terrain models, as well as scanning bridges and dams etc.

• In my tenure at Cds Muery I was able to learn how to survey high voltage power lines/structures and expand the American power grid as an instrument man.

• When I started at the Rodman 2 position I mainly did the physical work such as setting pins, cutting line, carrying equipment/materials. After 6 months I was able to successfully run GPS and Conventional survey equipment as well as run the level gun with little to no supervision.

• As a Rodman/Helper I assisted party chief with stocking work truck with materials and survey equipment. I learned pipeline (oil and gas methods) of surveying and am familiar with data collector and various survey equipment and safety procedures.
