Work History

Engineering Technician I

Fairfax County Government
05.2025 - Current
  • In this role, I worked within the Department of Code Compliance (DCC) which responds to over 8,000 complaints each year related to property maintenance, unpermitted construction, zoning, and other violations of County code.
  • The DCC seeks compliance with County/State codes and ordinances in achieving the mission of the agency: to promote, protect, and maintain a healthy and desirable living environment in Fairfax County.
  • I was responsible for independently conducting field inspections pertaining to grass complaints on personal or commercial property in alleged violation of the Grass Ordinance.
  • While abiding by constitutional/fourth amendment protections, I conducted inspections using measurement devices; gathered evidence such as photographs; resident and complainant statements; and conducted property and deed research.
  • My job was to advise the responsible parties of ordinance requirements and seek to gain voluntary compliance through direct communication (e.g. in-person, phone, email and Notice of Violations). I then performed follow-up inspections to ensure violations have been resolved.
  • I was tasked with preparing automated reports regarding inspection findings and code violations. All case specifics, photographs and other evidence were entered into a designated database for tracking purposes and establishment of electronic case records.

I gained experience with...

  • Software and Applications such as Planning and Land Use System (PLUS), Court Public Access Networks (CPAN), researching and interpreting deeds, wills, etc. and more
  • Case management
  • Maintaining effective relationships with the public and fellow employees in a customer service capacity
  • Case management
  • Microsoft Office Applications and Outlook
  • Working independently in the field

Customer Service Associate

Wawa, Inc.
01.2020 - 05.2025
  • In this role, I successfully operated across multiple high-demand stations including deli, beverage service, cashier, and facilities management in a fast-paced, customer service driven, food service environment.
  • While managing my workload I demonstrated exceptional versatility and efficiency by preparing a wide variety of customized menu items such as sandwiches, wraps, burritos, salads, bowls, quesadillas, and both hot and cold beverages to precise customer specifications.
  • In addition, I maintained a clean, organized, and fully stocked workspace, including unloading deliveries and ensuring timely restocking of supplies to support seamless operations. I also made sure I consistently upheld rigorous sanitation and food safety standards through diligent dishwashing and cleaning procedures.
  • I handled financial transactions with accuracy and accountability, delivering swift, customer focused, friendly service while managing point-of-sale systems.
  • Most of all, I prioritized customer satisfaction through attentive service, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to quality that ensured a positive dining experience.
  • I was recognized for my strong multitasking abilities, team collaboration, and consistently exceeding performance expectations.

Client Services Coordinator / Veterinary Assistant

Banfield Pet Hospital
11.2022 - 08.2023
  • In this role, I played a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a busy veterinary clinic by expertly managing front-desk responsibilities while occasionally assisting in clinical care.
  • I demonstrated exceptional multitasking and time-management skills by seamlessly checking patients in and out, managing high volumes of phone calls, scheduling appointments with precision, and handling electronic communications including emails and faxes.
  • I served as the first point of contact for clients, delivering a consistently warm, professional, and personalized experience that fostered trust and loyalty. I anticipated client needs and proactively resolved concerns to ensure the highest standard of service.
  • In addition to administrative duties, I provided hands-on support in clinical settings by assisting veterinarians during exams and treatments—contributing to patient care, handling animals safely, and helping maintain a calm, efficient environment in the back of the clinic.
  • I was recognized for adaptability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to both animal welfare and the client satisfaction.

Crew Member

Burger King
01.2020 - 07.2021

  • I expertly managed order intake, payment processing, and food distribution at both the first and second drive-thru windows, ensuring speed, accuracy, and a welcoming guest experience.
  • I excelled in multitasking by seamlessly transitioning between roles, including food bagging, front-of-house stocking, lobby maintenance, and assisting in the kitchen during peak hours. In addition, I maintained pristine cleanliness and organization standards, performing regular sanitation duties to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
  • I was recognized for my strong work ethic, adaptability, and commitment to creating a positive dining experience for every customer—whether in the drive-thru or lobby.
