Boy Scouts- Eagle Scout/Patrol Leader (6th grade- present)
Be active in troop, obey scout law, oath, motto and slogan. Work towards higher rank, help scouts achieve rank, learn new life skills. Patrol leader: atten monthly patrol meetings, plan meetings, camp-outs and community service projects, complete Eagle scout service project.
Band- Saxophonist (6th grade-present)
- Wind Ensemble: attend daily lessons and rehearsals, perform in school concerts and music festivals, perform yearly solo for final grade and perform solo for New York State School Music Association.
- Jazz Band: attend weekly rehearsals after school, perform in school concerts and music festivals.
JROTC- Squad member (9th grade-present)
Cadets learn leadership, citizenship, global awareness, wellness, life skills, and U.S. history-all delivered through a performance based, student-centered modell
- JROTC-Squad Leader (10th grade)
Responsible for discipline and appearance of the squad, discipline and appearance of squad, familiar with drill regulations, insure squad in flag detail and other other ceremonies
- JROTC- Company XO (11th grade-present)
Assist with weekly uniform inspections, observe flag detail, responsible for training, discipline and appearance of my company, recommend promotions/demotions and job assignments
- JROTC Scabbard and Blade Club- Member (10th grade- present)
Junior membership is open to active Valley Central JROTC cadets. Cadets must consistently exemplify the Five Star Qualities and pledge to gain more information about a college education. Cadets must be in good standing with school and JROTC company. Must be ranked in top 20% of academic year and maintain 3.0 GPA or higher
National French Honor Society- Vice President (10th grade-present)
Provide tutoring to student in French classes. Promote culture into the school, assist with increasing enrollment, lead monthly meetings, assist with induction ceremonies, maintain meeting minutes and records of attendance, fundraise for scholarships for graduating members
National English Honor Society- Member (11th grade-present)
National organization exclusively for high school students who in the field of English,merit special note for their past and current accomplishments. Members must achieve at least "90" overall grade in all subjects as well as 90% average in English for 9th & 10th grade. Attend monthly meetings, participate in tutoring and other various outreach opportunities in the community and school.
National Social Studies Honor Society- Member (11th grade-present)
Valley Central High School Chapter-Rho Kappa, is part of national organization which recognizes juniors & seniors, encourages an interest in, an understanding of the social studies through civil projects, and school/community service. Attend monthly meetings, and a local community meeting, participate in social studies projects in school.
NY State Science Honor Society- Member (12th grade)
The Society recognizes students who have made outstanding achievements in Science. It encourages its members to render service to their school and their community. We encourage members to pursue Science and Technology-related careers. As a member, you are required to help other students develop an interest in Science through our Science Tutorial Program.
