- YWAM primarily serves the community with a program called "Homes of Hope," which builds free homes for needy families.
- YWAM also gives community resources such as daycare, church services, warm food, and English classes.
- Photo documentation is a special ministry in which families without portraits are given new clothes, makeup, etc, and photographed for their benefit.
- Aside from supporting the central mission, I would do various chores around the base, helping in the kitchen, landscaping, and cleaning. After three months, I left Tijuana with an outreach group to travel around Nepal for two months. I helped out in churches to get involved in local communities, interned for two weeks with a clothing company called Dinadi, and adventured via an ethical travel agency called Five14 Nepal which specializes in undisclosed sex trafficking prevention.
