Senior Documentation Manager
Kong, Inc. is a hyper-growth startup that develops software for open-source platforms and cloud services to manage, monitor, and scale APIs and Microservices.
- Founding Documentation Manager responsible for building and managing team of writers to design, create, and single-source technical documentation and new doc site.
- Hire, manage, and mentor team of writers, empowering them with tools and support they need to be effective and efficient in developing comprehensive user documentation.
- Provide vision and direction to take docs to the next-level, based on product roadmap, key metrics, ongoing releases, special projects, improvements, and customer needs.
- Manage development and releases of open-source and enterprise documentation for Kong's on-prem, cloud, and hybrid-cloud products.
- Partner with product managers, engineering, customer support, growth team, marketing, sales engineering, and field engineering to create effective processes and to collaborate in creating meaningful documentation.
- Significant decrease in customer support calls through improvement of user documentation.
