• Provide comprehensive care in primary care setting focusing on primary prevention, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
• Perform thorough physical exam, create treatment plans, order necessary diagnostic tests, prescribe appropriate medication and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with primary care team, specialists, and other interdisciplinary team members to optimize management of patient care.
• Provide patient education and counseling to facilitate informed and shared decision making.
• Support quality improvement initiatives to reduce cost and optimize patient care.
• Document and update electronic patient medical records.
• Administer intraarticular knee injections, shoulder, and trochanteric bursa injections to appropriate patient population.

· Provide critical care to patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).

· Evaluate staffing requirements including floor assignments

· Assess patient status and notify physicians of clinical changes.

· Perform clinical tasks according to hospital and MICU policies.

· Collaborate with hospital staff regarding plan of patient care.

· Educate patients/families on medications, disease processes, tests, etc.

· Assist with orientation of new staff members.

· Serve as a resource and active patient advocate.
