ED Technician

I work in the Emergency room department as a Ed tech as well. I obtain vital signs in triage and help get IV's started. I have performed bladder scans, splints with fiberglass, EKG's  and obtain blood sugars. I give proper care to the patients and obtain any other specific medical detail needed form the nurse or doctor. I have done foleys and external catheters. I monitor patients that are suicidal and document on them every 15 minutes. I obtain vital signs on the patients every 2 hours  that are in our waiting room or vertical ( internal waiting room).
