Write CMM programs and provide operational support for engine R&D, FAA certification, and production receiving inspection using quality standard procedures and best practices to document repeatable and accurate inspection results
Support and develop efficient/optimized CMM utilization through fixturing, nesting and other techniques
proficiency and best practices for programming/setup and operation of common inspection equipment such as: comparators, vision systems, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, pins, thread gauges, ring gauges, and other common inspection tools
Perform final dimensional or mechanical inspection of parts, components, sub- assemblies, and assemblies for conformance to drawings and engineering specifications
Analyze and interpret blueprints, routings, evaluation sheets, manuals and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments
Work closely with engineers to define and implement inspection methods on new products during development
Clean, maintain, repair and ensure calibration of measuring instruments and test equipment
Document and report non-conforming materials
Perform complete first article inspection on components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies to FAA requirements
Train and mentor others on inspection procedures, techniques and tool usage
