- Support and develop efficient/optimized CMM utilization through fixturing, nesting and other techniques
- proficiency and best practices for programming/setup and operation of common inspection equipment such as: comparators, vision systems, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, pins, thread gauges, ring gauges, and other common inspection tools
- Perform final dimensional or mechanical inspection of parts, components, sub- assemblies, and assemblies for conformance to drawings and engineering specifications
- Analyze and interpret blueprints, routings, evaluation sheets, manuals and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments
- Work closely with engineers to define and implement inspection methods on new products during development
- Clean, maintain, repair and ensure calibration of measuring instruments and test equipment
- Document and report non-conforming materials
- Perform complete first article inspection on components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies to FAA requirements
- Train and mentor others on inspection procedures, techniques and tool usage
