Emergency Department- Hoag Hospital Newport Beach and Irvine ( NEMG)| December 2019 - Present
Gather the appropriate information through history taking and physical examination to determine appropriate medical care, including when necessary order
and interpret appropriate laboratory studies, imaging studies, ECGs, . Perform necessary emergency procedures( I.e. laceration repairs, lumbar punctures,
reductions). Additionally when appropriate discuss patient's case with various specialist to coordinate care and follow recommendations and discuss patient
case with hospitalist to facilitate admission to hospital . Additionally assisting ER group in reviewing Imaging discrepancies and positive blood and urine
cultures and make appropriate call back to patients when necessary. Assisting in ER follow up visits through Telehealth.
ER- Fellowship:
Fourteen-month Emergency Medicine fellowship focusing on hands on clinical training accompanied by weekly didactic sessions to better equip the emergency medicine PA in making clinical decisions and staying up to date on the most recent advances in EM. The fellowship encompasses clinical training in a wide variety of specialties with emphasis on how they pertain to emergency including rotations in Pediatric Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedic Medicine, Surgery/Burn, Anesthesia, Respiratory Therapy, Correctional Medicine, EMS (Fire Dept. /Reach Air), Diabetes camp, and Ultrasound. With proactive mentorship from NCCPA- certified physician assistants as well as board-certified or board-eligible emergency physicians.
