Hello, my name is Gene Washington and I am a 33 year old self motivated ambitious person, I currently work on elevators for NC State University and am just looking for a career change, I've always had a niche in computers and being in a creative space but never really got the opportunity to showcase my talents. I have worked in a creative space for myself and others for years but never on a fully corporate level. I am not at a point in my life where I want to really follow my goals and dreams. With the pandemic going on it really intrigued me that we only have one life to live and although I've had a very successful career with elevators it became easy and boring for myself as my mind is always rambling for new ideas and new spaces to be creative in. I can honestly say as far as being on paper my credentials may not match up to most, but I have what other people don't have and that is enthusiasm, a work ethic that I can guarantee is unmatched, and I'm very coachable. I am the hardest worker anyone I cross paths with has ever known and I would love to finally be able to showcase my love and admiration for a new field, one that I have been in my whole life. I am a gamble for sure, but Im a high risk gamble with a high reward. I understand that in life most people only get one shot and this is my shot.
