Junior Achievement

Teaching classes in their bis-park location at 100 oaks. Children are brought in with their school to spend 4 hours with us learning financial skills for budgeting. This gives kids that are in low to moderate income areas the chance to see what different college degrees and trade schools earn as a salary. They also get assigned a life scenario where they have to budget to ensure that they can pay bills and support their assigned families. You are given a group and they are encouraged to ask questions around finances and careers. I strive to apply to be on the board in this upcoming year

Better Money Habits

I am able to go within elementary, middle and high school classes to teach kids financial literacy. I bring power point presentations to help guide conversations and encourage open forum conversations around multiple aspects of financial guidance. The children get to learn about the banking industry but also the basic functions of checking, savings and investment accounts. In addition I was asked to go to the TSU campus to teach staff and coordinators financial literacy.
