Park Aide
1 Year 1 Month- The Park Aide position involves taking care of the park in any way that comes up, but day-to-day activities include working the kiosk and selling parking passes, and roving the park while reporting any concerning behaviors to a Peace Officer. The regulations of a Nature Reserve are more restrictive than any other typical state park, so ensuring the health of the environment is top priority, while also making sure the public appreciates the unique environment as well.
Conservation Corps Member
3 Months- Led conservation projects to restore local habitats and improve biodiversity.

Water Conservation Intern
10 Months- I assist in water conservation-related duties, such as addressing high-water use by contacting customers directly, addressing leaks through meter readings, incentivizing water-efficient appliances through rebate programs. This position is very nuanced and involves lots of various tasks whenever they may arise. We also participate in public outreach events through tabling and promoting rebate and incentive programs to the public.
Intern
2 Months- Assisting the land steward in planting Sand Gilia along plots in the reserve. In total, 25,000 San Gilia were planted in the ground by March 14th.
