Serves as a Child and Youth Services Supervisory Program Specialist, with responsibilities for assisting the supervisor in the operation of an assigned CYS program, in accordance with all applicable regulations and standards by:

Providing program oversight and accountability for the performance of assigned staff, conducting written observations of staff during all hours of operation, evaluating employees based on established performance standards, and providing appropriate staff professional recognition and/or disciplinary action.

• Serves as a member of the CYS Program Plan Team to develop written strategies for program improvement, assists in maintaining DoD/Army certification for assigned program areas, helps ensure the program achieves and retains national accreditation or Army equivalent, and maintains accreditation/Army equivalent standards.

• Works cooperatively with other CYS managers to ensure the safety and well-being of children and youth IAW DoD, Army, and local policies and standards, in addition to providing seamless service and continuity of quality options for all children and youth.

• Served as a CYS Services Supervisory Program Specialist responsible for supervising 8 ratios of children aged 0–5.
• Provided in-ratio care 50% of the time, modeling behavior and providing oversight.
• Assisted the Director with recruitment, performance evaluations, and scheduling.
• Acted as Director in absence up to 20% of the time; worked evenings/weekends as needed.

• Supervised children during indoor/outdoor activities and events.
• Planned and coordinated activities based on children’s needs, including special requirements.
• Provided training and guidance to team members, ensuring compliance with DoD standards.

• Ensured timely submission of personnel actions and maintained training requirements.
• Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Presented ideas and proposals and fulfilled additional duties as assigned.
