My duties with this company consisted of maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, loading dirt onto trucks with an excavator, digging multi acre retention ponds with a scraper, using a skid steer with a forestry mulcher to clear wooded sites for new construction projects,installing concrete and steel drainage culverts under roads, as well as moving and compacting soil for new roads and building sites.
Most all of the work performed for this company consisted of laying all types and sizes of pipe (from 1 inch chemical lines to 60 inch pipe, ranging from pvc concrete and ductile iron)inside of waste water treatment plants, and doing various other upgrades and renovations in waste water plants
The majority of work performed for this company consisted of, locating and repairing water main breaks for many different municipalities around central Illinois, as well as installing new water, gas, and sewer lines on new construction projects
In August of ‘17 I launched my own excavation business and my duties were but not limited to, advertising and marketing, bidding and estimating projects, purchasing trucks and equipment for the business, as well as maintaining and repairing equipment. The scope of the work that I was preforming on a day to day basis general skid steer work, instillation of water and gas lines, repairing sewer lines, digging footings for new buildings. Commercial and residential demolition of buildings, houses and other structures. In the winter months my business shifted to snow removal and salting with various pieces of equipment including but not limited to skid steers, backhoes, wheel loader, and dump trucks with plow and salt spreader.
