As a Police Service Technician (PST) I was recruited and assigned to the Crime Lab (Firearms unit).

• I took custody of firearms and fired cartridge casings from the Property and Evidence Unit.
• I performed IBIS work on each item (documented each firearm and cartridge case). IBIS work consisted of properly documenting each item as well as test firing firearms. I worked directly with Firearms technicians in determining which items were ideal for entry into the IBIS system.
• This assignment required extremely detailed work as there was a potential for any item being required for Court presentation.

• Collected latent fingerprints, footprints, and other physical evidence.

• Collected, tagged, packaged, and preserved physical evidence including biological material at crime scenes or autopsies.

• Prepared sketches and diagrams of crime scenes and evidence locations.
