My father had a excavating company for 33 years, which he specialized mostly in waterproofing and foundation repairs. But also grading, storm drains anywhere from 4in to 24in. Water control was his specialty whether the issue be corrected through grading, storm drains, french drains and waterproofing.... This industry was something I was born into and now have a passion for. It is my passion for it that has driven me through the years to learn about what causes foundations to leak and or fail and also find the best solution to those issues. A few examples of causing factors are hydrostatic pressure and constant moisture. Constant moisture leaving walls damp will weaken motor joints and face of block then leaving the foundation prone to cracking, shifting, tipping, bowing from hydrostatic pressure. My passion has also driven me to problem solve and my experience has strengthened that. I also think my experience being on site through the years will help build customer relation and a trusting relationship. Being able to thoroughly explain the process and customers knowing i have not just been on the sales side will help as well. I also found people do not agree with price of the work we do at times which is understandable, but that is because many times they do not understand all the work that goes into it and leaves customers untrusting and not understanding. Being why the process being explained thoroughly helps build that understanding of hard labor, materials, time and liability/responsibility that goes into what we do.
