• I have owned and operated Bonaventure since 1980. Charter work in the 1980's included running the YRA Sailing races in Western LI Sound, and private charters from NY to Nantucket.

I perform all maintenance including major engine work including a complete re-fit in 2024 at Derecktor's Shipyard where I did all running gear and thru-hull replacement and bottom epoxy while the yard did the hull paint.

• Chartered 46' sailboat as Captain to sail around BVI's for 10 days with friends. Needed to show qualifications and sailing history in order to bareboat this charter.

• Built a mooring barge and did mooring work in Rye, NY. In 1995 purchased 40' aluminum crew boat in Louisiana and trucked to Rye, NY. Installed hydraulic crane system to do mooring/salvage work. Towed several boats (Including 12 meter Courageous) from Port Elizabeth NJ to Derecktor Shipyard in Mamaroneck NY. Sold in 1991 to Delaware Bay Launch company when I sold the mooring business.

• Owned by a close friend, I spent 7 winters sailing on the Distant Star from New York to the Bahamas with 2 winters in the Virgin Islands. Captained the boat for many night sails on Long Island Sound, 1 month in the BVI's and one delivery from Key West FL to New York.

• Ran all waterfront operations at American Yacht Club.
• Hired and scheduled launch staff
• Maintained all club equipment including 2 - 26' Aluminum, Diesel powered launches.
• Made Aluminum welding repairs and constructed numerous aluminum projects including dingy racks.
• Ran numerous races with club's 35' Race Committee boat from Rye to Nantucket.
