I am a hard working individual who matches their work ethic with intentional thought and positive energy. I am the person at the work place that people can rely on to not only get the job done, but as a bright light on a dismal day. My time at Curnyn taught me how to talk with people who were less than happy to be in my company (due to their physical pain) while integrating myself into the professional world. My experience as a bartender at Malai has made me a master communicator who can handle a plethora of tasks all at once all while wearing a smile on my face. Being in the workforce has bolstered my best qualities, setting me up to be an integral part of wherever my life’s journey takes me next.
As the main bartender at Malai, my number one priority is to make sure all my guests needs are met. I have to make drinks, prep the bar, run food, take orders, and do all the smaller things that keep the restaurant running all at the same time. The most important part of my job is efficient communication with my guests and co-workers in the midst of the restaurant chaos. Being able to handle stress effectively while keeping an enthusiastic and positive attitude in the process is the key to my success as a bartender.
As a physical therapy technician, it was my job to demonstrate and explain the exercises the therapist planned for the patient. I was also required to clean the work area and help take notes on patient progression. Clear communication, people skills, and organization were paramount to my success as a technician.
