  • Verify patient eligibility status in CHCS, Enterprise-Wide Referral and Authorization System (EWRAS), and Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS).
  • Conduct a DEERS eligibility check on 100% of patients who request an appointment.
  • Refer patients to appropriate Military Treatment Facility (MTF) and provide advice on location of clinics.
  • Correct demographic data, by performing a mini registration update in DEERS, as necessary.
  • Compile information into statistical reports.
  • Spot check scheduled appointments.
  • Prioritize beneficiary appointments to be scheduled in accordance with Tricare Access to Care Standards and written guidelines.
  • Verify and document eligibility of each patient to whom services are scheduled.
  • Direct all questions regarding beneficiary eligibility to the Chief, Patient Administration Division (PAD) at the MTF, as necessary.
  • Gather demographic data information and enter into the patient's authorized record of medical treatment, AHLTA.
  • Send Telephone Consults (T-CONs) to appropriate clinic personnel in Armed Forces Healthcare Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA).
