Summary

I have 17 years experience at OGS. My first 7 years were in the Grounds department at the Empire State Plaza. I started out as the Zamboni operator for the ice rink. While downtown at the Plaza I also spent two summers working on the irrigation system throughout all of ESP buildings. In 2013, after I pursued a CDL license, I continued my OGS career as a CEO (construction equipment operator) and moved to the Harriman Campus. This is when I became proficient in operating and driving all types of heavy machinery including: front end loader, double wing plow truck, backhoe, street sweeper, skid steer, mini excavator, garbage truck, dump truck, aerial truck.

My next job was a promotion to my current position as an FOA 2 (grounds) in 2019 continuing at the Harriman Campus. In this position I've taken on more of a supervisory role while continuing to work side by side my colleagues. I've been involved in the hiring process, evaluating ground staff, meeting with management and taking on major projects.

When I saw the Public Building Managers 1 test I was excited to get the opportunity to advance my career within OGS. I think my experience, ability to learn, and loyalty to OGS make me a great candidate to advance within this organization.
