I have 21 years of experience including 13 years in management to include titles as a Field Operations Manager, Inventory Manager, Material Expeditor, and as a Fire Controlman in industries including Paid television and the military. Currently I am working as an Engineering and Fault Controller and a Traffic Control Operator for Hitachi Rail Honolulu. Prior to this I was working as a material expeditor for Chugach government solutions as a federal contractor for one year. Before that I was working as an Inventory Manager at AT&T from December 2016. Prior to December 2016 I was working as an operations manager for DirecTV starting in March of 2006. October 2000 to March 2006 I was serving in the U.S. Navy as a Fire Controlman. In my 21 years of employment I have gained much experience in team building and leadership. I have gained experience in business management to include driving productivity and continuously being cautious and conscious of cost reductions and utilizing areas of opportunity to improve profitability while maintaining a safe working environment. I have a clear understanding of organizational structure I have gained much experience and am able to demonstrate my abilities to convey information and ideas clearly and concisely to individuals or groups in an engaging manner that listens actively to others. Work History

Engineering and Fault Controller / Traffic Officer

  • As an Engineering and Field Controller I am responsible for high voltage power operations utilized for train movements. I am also responsible for coordination of fault reporting and engineering systems with maintenance department to ensure that train operations, testing, and commissioning operate efficiently and on time.
  • As a Traffic Officer I am responsible for traffic operations to include train movements and personnel working in or around the Honolulu Rail project.
  • I oversaw and controlled the work of over 50 contractors at a time.

Material Expeditor

  • As the material expeditor for Chugach Federal Solutions I was responsible for processing, verifying, and coordinating everything from food supply, materials, medical supplies, vehicles and personnel coming and going to and from Wake Island in support of the Air Force squadron 611.
  • I was responsible to receive all shipments and verify them. I had to convert or transfer all shipments into the federal government or air force tracking process to continue all shipments to Wake Island. I would also have to deliver all supply to Hickam Air Force terminal in advanced preparation for flight to Wake Island.

Inventory Manager

  • As the inventory manager for AT&T in Hawaii I was able to support the field operations teams in fulfilling our mission of connecting people with their world. I ensured that sufficient and proper inventory was stocked in the Hawaii warehouses for the field teams to be as effective and efficient as possible which resulted in smooth and excellent service to our customers. I was able to reduce costs for the company by implementing a change in mindset of how we operated. I overlooked our logistics and met challenges with solution to provide for the field while minimizing material and transportation costs. I removed the mindset of “that’s how we always do things,” to a mindset of “how can we do this better?”
  • Maintain inventory in warehouses and technician trucks to include correcting work order errors for closing job numbers
  • Plan supply chain schedules in advance preparation including busy seasonal periods

  • While working with DirecTV, I have moved from an installation technician to a field supervisor which later became a operations manager position. During my time as a manager I was able to attend many training programs through DirecTV to improve management skills such as CLE (coaching and leadership essentials) and Speed of Trust. As a supervisor, I have helped my management team to build a strong work force with exceptional work ethics. The teams I have led have had large improvements and innovative achievements in making the Hawaii office one of the most improved in the nation as well as one of the best offices in the company for customer satisfaction. During my time as a manager I have led my team through change when AT&T acquired our company and led the way for change which allowed for a smooth transition to a completely new business structure.
