Accomplishments

District has seen improvements in attendance, graduation rate, achievements, STEM offerings, gifted program, mental health supports, technology one to one, growing enrollment in pre school and elementary grades, increased opportunities for career tech, work internship programs, DECA, CBI and FFA, stronger extracurricular programs athletics and arts, a state recognized college credit plus model, safety protocols including extensive armed staff training, district emphasis and focus on literacy and the science of reading.


Took over the district when it was in fiscal watch, was able to implement over 1.2 million dollars in cuts and cost savings measures. Led a new 1% income tax levy campaign that passed as well as three different tax renewals (have not failed a levy in seven years as Superintendent). Have implemented fiscal responsible measures and now the district is the most fiscally wealthy and healthy it has ever been.


Have successfully negotiated 8 different contract agreements with teachers' union and bus drivers' union.


Collaborated and led district in receiving multiple state and federal competitive grants for over $2,000,000


Led community and district fundraising initiative to build a new stadium/athletic complex almost entirely through individual, businesses, and private donations which was between 3-4 million dollar


Key note speaker for College Credit Plus Forum at Wright State University- Lake Campus based on the success of the "St. Marys Model for CCP"


Presented multiple sessions for the district at the annual Ohio School Boards Association State Conference


State recognition for district's second chance breakfast, offering free breakfast for all students, and the success of our summer lunch program


2017 American Legion Post 323 Educator of the Year, 2023 Finalist for Martha Holden Jennings Ohio Superintendent Award
