Research

Evaluation of a Skin Care Champion education program on clinical practice and wound care specialist referrals, a pilot study. I was the principal investigator in a 5-month research project where I developed and implemented an education program for staff nurses on basic principles on wound care. I and my co-investigators determined if we increased the knowledge and confidence level of the bedside nurses, we also calculated if we decreased bedside nurse consults to the wound care team after initiating the education. Publication to follow.
